About Us

Sharon D. Ward has always liked the stories in the Bible. The ones where regular people go through loss, big changes, and tough decisions. When she sat down to write The Birth of the Kingdom, she tried to make the characters feel like real people you could understand. You can sense Naomi’s sadness after losing her family, Ruth’s loyalty on that long road back, and the mix of courage and fear in David’s life.

She describes the dusty journeys, the tension in the palace, the caves where David hid, and the noise of battles, without adding anything extra. Her goal was never to change the original accounts. She just wanted readers to feel what it might have been like living through those days. The strong friendships, the painful regrets, and the moments when trusting God made the difference.

Even now Sharon finds something new when she reads back through the chapters. She hopes the book gives people a fresh look at how God worked with ordinary, imperfect people. Nothing heavy or preachy. Just the stories told straight so you can think about them in your own way. For her, writing this was a quiet way to pass on something meaningful.
